Young Women in Art

The Art and Design Department of Converse College and Milliken Art Gallery sponsored its 5th juried high school show entitled Young Women in Art. This exhibition focused on 2-D and 3-D work produced by female high school students in grades 9-12. The goal of the exhibition is to help students begin preparation for a major in art while still in high school. On March 15, the Milliken Gallery hosted a closing reception and an awards ceremony to celebrate the artwork in the exhibition. The Fine Arts Center Art Department had 29 art pieces picked for the exhibition and the most students from a single school.
6 works were selected for awards.
