Volunteers needed for FAC Anti-Prom

Dear FAC Parents,

As you may know from your students, the FAC Prom committee is hosting the official Fine Arts Center Prom on May 16, 2014. All students, regardless of grade level, are welcome to attend. The dress code is flexible, and students can wear anything they have access to—from formal attire to relaxed attire. Tickets will go on sale from May 12th—May 15th, and students are encouraged to bring extra money with them to donate to the United Housing Connections (formerly known as Upstate Homeless Coalition). All proceeds earned through this event benefit the UHC. Each student is also allowed to bring one non-FAC guest with them. All FAC students must provide their school ID, and non-FAC students must bring their academic high school ID and fill out a guest form in order to be admitted to this event.

In order to make this event successful, we would like to ask you for food donations and for volunteers to help chaperone the event itself. We are in need of “finger foods” (such as small sandwiches, fruit/veggie plates, or chips), and serving bowls/dishes. Our prom theme is outer space, and creatively themed foods following the space theme are greatly appreciated. If any food or drink needs to be refrigerated, it will need to be dropped off between 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM Friday afternoon. If there is food that doesn’t need to be refrigerated, it can be dropped off any time on Friday to the front office. We ask that you also label your foods if it has meat or common allergy ingredients (such as nuts).

If you would like to volunteer to chaperone the event, we ask that you arrive to FAC by 6:30 PM and stay until 11:00 PM on Friday night. If you can only stay for part of the event, please let us know in your response.
